Web Design
For us, building a website is one job from start to finish: from the first conversation about the goal, through design and development, to launch, search optimisation and maintenance. We work with companies that have already built their business to the point where a website has something to show, and whose time is worth more than a difference in price. You make the decisions; the rest is our job.
What a website does for a company
A customer looking you up for the first time decides on your website whether you get the enquiry. So the difference is not budget but how the website is seen. Treat it as a cost and you shop for the lowest price and end up with a site you have to throw away in two years. Treat it as an investment and you count the enquiries, calls and orders it brings in over three to five years of work.
A website is the one place online that you control completely. A social media profile depends on someone else's algorithm and someone else's rules, and an ad stops working the day you stop paying. A website runs around the clock, asks for no salary, and takes no commission on every order.
On top of that, the site is the foundation for everything else. Google and Facebook ads have nowhere to send a visitor without a good landing page. SEO has nothing to rank. Analytics has nothing to measure. That is why building the website makes sense as the first step, not the last.
There is also a part that is hard to measure and that clients notice first: credibility. A customer seeing you for the first time decides within seconds whether you look like a serious operation. A clean, fast site with clear information does that job for you, before you have even picked up the phone.
Who we build websites for
We work best with owners and directors who have already built their business to the point where a website has something to show. They usually know what they want — or they tell us plainly that they don't and ask us to propose something, which is just as good a starting point. They decide quickly, they don't reopen what has been agreed, and they don't spend time haggling over every line item.
For a client like that, time is worth more than a difference in price. So we run the job to ask as little of you as possible: a clear agreement at the start, a few hours of your time for direction and approvals, and nothing more. Everything else — domain, hosting, design, optimisation, launch — goes through us.
We are based in Belgrade and work remotely for companies across Serbia and abroad. Companies in the capital have a page of their own: web design in Belgrade.
We are probably not the right choice if you are after the cheapest quote on the market, because there is always someone cheaper than us. The same goes if the scope changes after every stage while the deadline and the price are expected to stay put, or if you want a contractor who executes in silence rather than a partner who proposes and asks. Better that we both know this before we start than after.
The kinds of sites we build
A brochure site for your company
The most common type: who you are, what you do, why you in particular, and how to reach you. Usually five to ten pages, with a portfolio gallery, a contact form and Google Maps. The right choice for clinics, law firms, restaurants and professional services.
Online shop
A product catalogue, basket, delivery and card payments through any bank in Serbia. We connect it to the way you already work — from importing a price list to order notifications. This is where a build takes longest, because every detail has to be tested.
A landing page for a campaign
One page with one goal, built so that a visitor from an ad leaves an enquiry. Short, fast and measurable. It makes sense when you are already spending on Google or Facebook ads and the enquiries are not arriving.
A blog or portal
Content that brings you in from Google for years without paid ads. A category structure, fast loading and easy publishing, so you can post articles yourself.
A website with special features
When a standard form is not enough — bookings, calculators, user accounts, or a connection to your invoicing software. We build this after a conversation in which we first check whether you actually need it.
A website built from scratch, not from a template
With us, building a website doesn't start with picking a ready-made theme. We design for your industry and your audience, and you first see a proposed homepage — we build the rest of the site only once you approve it. That way the important decisions are made at the start, when they're cheap, not at the end, when they're expensive.
We usually build on WordPress, because copy, images and pages can be changed after launch without a developer. Every site works just as well on a phone as on a computer, and before launch we speed it up and set up baseline SEO: titles, descriptions, page structure and the sitemap.
The domain is registered in your name, so the site stays yours even if you change agencies one day. We work with clients across Serbia and abroad: the conversation, approvals and handover can all happen remotely, so location changes neither the deadline nor the price.
Building a website, step by step
Consultation
First we agree what the site has to achieve: more enquiries, sales, sign-ups, or simply a serious first presence. Scope, deadline and price follow from that. Only once you approve the plan does the first instalment — 50% — fall due.
Domain and hosting
A short name that is easy to remember, a .rs extension for the domestic market, and hosting chosen to match the traffic you expect. The domain is registered in your name, so ownership stays yours even if you move to someone else one day. Every site also gets an SSL certificate, because browsers flag unprotected pages as insecure.
Design
Layout, colour and typography fitted to the purpose and the audience, not to fashion. You see a proposal for the homepage first; once that is approved, the rest follows from it. If you have no idea how the site should look, we propose it — that is what you are hiring us for.
Build and content
The design becomes a site that works as well on a phone as it does on a computer. You can supply the copy and images, or we can prepare them. This is the stage where we need most of your time — usually a few hours in total.
SEO and launch
Before launch we set page titles, descriptions, heading structure, loading speed, the sitemap and the connection to Google's tools. That is the baseline optimisation that comes with every site, at no extra charge. The second instalment is due on delivery.
Maintenance
After launch the site can move to a monthly maintenance package; that is an option, not an obligation.
What the price of a website covers
With us the price is not just design and development. Every quote includes the time you don't see at first glance, without which a site does not work properly:
- Domain registered in your name, and hosting set up (you pay the hosting fee directly to the provider)
- SSL certificate and basic site protection
- A design fitted to your line of work, not a bought template
- A site that works equally well on a phone, a tablet and a computer
- Baseline SEO on every page before launch
- Connected to Google Analytics and Search Console
- Contact form, Google Maps and links to your social accounts
What a website costs
There is no single price for building a website, just as there is no single price for a car. Our packages start at €400 for a simple five-page brochure site, while larger online shops with card payments run from €1,000 to €2,000. The exact figure depends on a few things.
The number of pages and the amount of content come first. A five-page site and a thirty-page site are not the same job, either in design or in data entry. Second is whether you need a shop — a basket, delivery and card payments bring testing that a brochure site simply does not have. The standard and premium packages include a small shop without card payments; card payments and a larger catalogue bring the price to €1,000–€2,000. Third are the special features: bookings, calculators, user accounts, or a connection to software you already run.
Fourth is content. If you have copy and images ready, the build goes faster and costs less. If we have to write and prepare them, that is separate work and is quoted separately.
We do not have the lowest prices on the market, and that is a deliberate decision. There is always someone cheaper, but our price includes time that shows up later — in how fast the site loads, in how it looks on a phone, and in the fact that a year on you don't have to start over. Payment is in two instalments: 50% when the plan is approved and 50% on delivery.
How long a website takes
A simple five-page brochure site is finished in seven days. A standard site with more content takes up to ten. Larger shops and more complex projects need fifteen days or more.
The deadline depends most on one thing that is not down to us — how quickly we receive copy, images and approvals. Projects that run late almost never run late because of the development; they run late waiting on material. So at the start we tell you exactly what we need and by when.
What sets our web design apart
One point of contact for everything
Design, build, SEO, domain, hosting and maintenance all go through the same person. Nobody passes the blame between contractors when something goes wrong.
An agreement that holds
Scope, deadline and price are set at the start and stay there. No later line items you did not approve, and no surprises at the end.
Speed as standard
The site is optimised before launch, not after the first complaint. A fast site ranks better on Google and holds on to visitors arriving from a phone.
We stay on after launch
For most companies the real work begins once the site goes live. That is why we don't disappear after launch — through a monthly maintenance package we monitor, maintain and refine the site for as long as you need it.
What clients we built websites for say
I've worked with a lot of web agencies, but Sajtpress stands out for its professionalism. They delivered the site exactly as I had pictured it.
I'm very pleased with how our website turned out. Novak was extremely professional, creative and attentive to everything we asked for. A warm recommendation to anyone looking for quality and reliability.
We were recommended to them by another company in town and we weren't wrong. The communication is normal and human, with no smoke and mirrors.

Frequently asked questions about web design
The basic package starts at €400, the standard at €700 and the premium at €800. Online shops with card payments run from €1,000 to €2,000. These are indicative prices, because they depend on the number of pages, the features, and whether you prepare the content or we do; no VAT is added. Send an enquiry and within 24 hours on working days you get an indicative price; the written quote with the exact price follows a short call.
A basic site in up to seven days, a standard one in ten, and larger projects fifteen days or more. The deadline depends most on how quickly we receive copy, images and approvals.
Yes. We usually build on WordPress precisely because content is easy to change without knowing how to code.
We handle domain registration and hosting setup, and that is part of the job. The domain is registered in your name, so ownership stays yours. The annual domain and hosting fee you pay directly to the provider.
For the first conversation, nothing. It is enough that you know what you do and what you want the site to achieve. We gather copy, images and the logo together as the work goes on, and if you don't have them, we can prepare them.
The basics are, and they come with every site at no extra charge: titles, descriptions, heading structure, speed, a sitemap and a connection to Google's tools. A serious SEO campaign for competitive terms is separate, long-term work.
We build every site to work on a phone first and a computer second. More than half of all traffic now comes from mobile devices, and Google ranks the mobile version of the page.
In two instalments: 50% when you approve the plan and 50% on delivery of the finished site. You pay the first 50% only once you approve the plan — never for anything you haven't approved, and with no later line items.
You approve the homepage design before we build the rest of the site, so there are no surprises at the end. Scope, deadline and price are agreed at the start and stay there.
After launch, maintenance — updates, backups and small changes — comes as a monthly package; it is an agreement rather than an obligation, and you can end it at any time.
We do. If the site exists but is slow, looks bad on a phone, or cannot be updated, a redesign often makes more sense than starting from scratch, because it keeps the address, the content and the Google rankings.
